Dribs and Drabs

* Jayden is sooo close to walking. He's taken independent steps when he's trying to reach something and then when he realizes what he's doing he drops to his knees to crawl.

* Ian now only naps with me in my bed and only for about an hour/hour and a half tops. At least I can nap too then. My sleep situation is getting better overall now too.

* We went to the CFL Western Final yesterday. Good good times. Much fun was had. Lions just smoked those Riders. It was loud.

* I start back to work tomorrow in North Vancouver. I know I'll miss my boys like crazy, but I am looking forward to the break from them too, and the chance to exercise my brain in a different way what with all the talking to adults I'll have to do. Thankfully I'm down to part-time, two days a week, so we won't need to buy childcare. It's pretty easy for Rob to shuffle his shifts a bit so he won't need to work days on the days that I work. It will be fun to see Rob taking care of the boys all by himself all day long tomorrow. It might be tough on him considering he's working the midnight shift tonight.

* Ian sat on the toilet the other day and peed, then said "Good job penis!!" He wanted a new car but I said only if he went poo on the potty since he has yet to do that. If we put him on the toilet (without him having a fit) he'll pee, but he rarely asks to go himself, only if he wants a car or is trying to avoid something else. I'm not totally sure he has complete control over his bladder yet. He peed on me today while I was putting a clean diaper on him. Granted, he was trying really hard to fart at the time. Boys.

* I don't think I every posted about our new car. Well, it was new to us. A 2002 (?2003?) Jetta. A JETTA!!!! I love it. LOVE. IT. My very first car was a Jetta. Bought from my Opa. It sat outside through two Alberta winters and then died when we brought it home to BC. I've always wanted a Jetta again. Rob promised that someday he'd buy me one. That someday was back in August. It's black, it's a diesel, it has seat warmers. It's mine! It will make my commute to work much more enjoyable.

* I can't think of anything else to say right now. I have to go to bed. I have to get up really really early tomorrow morning.
